This week I stumbled into Selfridges down Oxford St. and simply couldn't resist the MAC counter. It was no doubt the busiest, but the one most worth waiting for.
Something I always notice about the MAC counters is that the staff are always so friendly, inviting and happy to help. They were so helpful by suggesting different lipsticks to me, but Ruby Woo caught my eye from the start. The only way I can describe it is that of a classic red. It is classy and sophisticated, yet so versatile. I have worn this both on evenings out and in the office and will certainly be getting my moneys worth out of it.
Normally, I am pretty weary about wearing matte lipsticks because I find that they tend to cling onto dry patches and feel as if they are drying my lips out. However, I have found that this is the first matte lipstick to not do this - as long as you keep your lips exfoliated and in good condition! The lasting power on this particular lipstick is great. After eating I felt that I only needed to touch it up in the centre of my lips and in the corners, which is definitely saying something!
Overall, this lipstick is a stunning, classic red which is so easy to wear; especially now that Autumn is approaching. Even if you don't like this particular colour, there are plenty others to choose from in the Retro Matte collection.
